The ideal engine rubber mount should have low frequency, high stiffness and large damping to attenuate low-frequency high-amplitude vibrations generated by uneven air pressure on the road surface and low-frequency large amplitude vibrations when the engine is idling. In order to reduce the noise inside the car and improve the handling stability, it should have the characteristics of high frequency, small stiffness and damping. Therefore, rubber mounts are often required to have frequency change and amplitude change characteristics.
Commonly used rubber materials are: NR, SBR,IIR.
